Viarnne Mischon
Viarnne Mischon is the Founder and Executive Producer of the School Broadcasting Network Inc (SBN), an Australian charity dedicated to giving young people a global voice in creating the world we all wish to live in.
She is also the Director of the RE-Generation International Youth Film Festival and Executive Producer of SBN’s online children’s station ‘Funky Kids Radio’.
As a multi-award-winning radio producer, Viarnne has conceived and produced more than 15 sustainable lifestyle, talk, live performance and ‘for young people, by young people’ radio programs and has mentored hundred of young people in broadcast skills over the last 17 years.
Leading a team of numerous producers and presenters, she has personally produced over 6,000 hours of live radio broadcasts and conducted over 2,500 interviews, with leaders and experts in their field from all over the world.
She is the author and/or producer of numerous audio stories for children commissioned by Google Australia, one of which, ‘An Antechinus in the Attic’ is now a children’s A to Z picture book of endangered rare and iconic Australian wildlife, which Viarnne created to encourage primary aged children to understand and appreciate the rich diversity of Australian species of animals, birds, reptiles, insects and plants. ‘An Antechinus in the Attic’ includes a foreword by SBN’s International Patron, Dr Jane Goodall, DBE.
