Tina Johnk Christensen
Tina Jøhnk Christensen is an-award winning journalist, author and board member from Odense, Denmark. She holds a Master of Arts degree in English and Film Science from the University of Odense and the University of Copenhagen and specializes in film and entertainment news, features and interviews. Based in Los Angeles since 2001, she has covered film related subjects for primarily Scandinavian media outlets as a freelance journalist, but she is also a frequent contributor to the Golden Globe website and podcast series.
Since 2013, she has been a member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) and a voter for the Golden Globe Awards. Since 2019, she has been serving on the HFPA board of directors. The HFPA is a non-profit organization of journalists and photographers who report predominately to International outlets outside of the US and is represented in more than 50 countries. This year, it celebrated the 80th Golden Globe Awards.
Christensen is also a member of the International Federation of Film Critics, Fipresci, and the Danish Union of Journalists.
Prior to her journalism career, she taught Film History at the Open University in Odense and British Literary History from 1350 to the Present at the University of Odense (now renamed the University of Southern Denmark). She has translated several books and is the co-author of a book with skincare guru Ole Henriksen published at Politikens Forlag in Denmark in 2018: “Det skal føles godt: Tag hjertet med på vejen mod success”, which translates as “It Must Feel Good: Bring Your Heart on the Road to Success.”
